In this series of talks, I will give an introduction to Thurston’s Euler Class One Conjecture and its following developments. I will explain a construction for virtually producing a counter example using finite covers of any closed hyperbolic 3-manifold.

主讲人介绍：

刘毅，北京大学博雅特聘教授。从事低维拓扑的研究，主要研究三维流形的拓扑与双曲几何， 毕业于加州大学伯克利分校，师从著名拓扑学家 Ian Agol. 在JAMS， Inv.Math 等国际著名期刊发表论文。求是杰出青年，国家杰出青年科学基金项目获得者，ICM 45分钟报告人。荣获国家自然科学二等奖、中国青年科技奖特别奖。
