A classical result of Heegner and Birch proves the existence of infinite families of quadratic twists of positive Mordell-Weil ranks for certain elliptic curves. We will talk about the generalizations of the result of Heegner and Birch and give some applications. This talk is based on a joint work with Zhai Shuai.

舒杰，同济大学助理教授。博士毕业于中国科学院数学与系统科学研究院，师从田野教授。他的研究领域为数论。
