报告人简介：Yik-Man Chiang教授 1991年在伦敦大学获得博士学位，现任职于香港科技大学，主要研究兴趣是亚纯函数论，特殊函数论及可积系统等，迄今已在J. Reine Angew. Math.等著名数学刊物上发表了20多篇重要学术论文.

报告内容简介:

In value distribution theory, one often refers to Malmquist's theorem (1913, 1933) related to existence of meromorphic solutions to certain first order algebraic differential equations. We continue the search for Malmquist's type results for second order algebraic differential equations. Both value distribution technique and singularity analysis are needed for in our argument.
