报告人简介：Yik Man Chiang博士现在是香港科技大学数学系教授，他主要研究领域是Nevanlinna理论，特殊函数论及超几何微分方程。他在这些领域取得了许多重要的研究成果，迄今已经在J. Reine Angew. Math，Trans. Amer. Math. Soc，Adv. in Math，Comment. Math. Helv.等著名刊物上发表了20多篇学术论文。

报告内容简介：Semi finite-gap problems of Hill equation (time-independent Schrodinger equations with periodic coefficients), namely the classical Whittake-Hill equation has a renewed interest in recent years. We derive explicit special function solutions to the DE and relate the semi finite-gap solutions to complex oscillation theory from the Nevanlinna theory viewpoint.
