摘要: A basic question is whether Ricci flow is related to 4-dimensional topology. The answer to this question is unknown. However, one may begin to speculate on what 4-dimensional Ricci flow might look like geometrically during finite time. We discuss the potential impact on singularity theory of the work of Munteanu and Wang and others on gradient Ricci solitons.
