报告人介绍：彭兴现为安徽大学数学科学学院副教授，主要研究方向为极值图论和随机图论。他于2012年在美国南卡罗莱纳大学获得博士学位，随后在美国加州大学圣地亚哥分校从事博士后工作。在《J. Combin. Theory Ser. A》、《J. Combin. Theory Ser. B》、《Random Structures Algorithms》等杂志发表20多篇论文。

报告内容摘要：In this talk, I will present our recent results on the Ramsey number of Books versus Cycles. Moreover, I will discuss techniques needed for proofs of our results. In particular, I will illustrate how to use the well-known regularity lemma to prove one of our results. Joint work with Qizhong Lin.
